Privacy

Claimifi.biz checks the historical claims in YouTube videos. This page explains what that involves for your data. In short: we keep as little as we can, we don't run analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't sell anything about you.

Videos and titles you check

When you analyse a video, the link or title you enter is sent to our server. For a link, the server fetches that video's public captions from YouTube, through a proxy service when one is configured. The captions or title are then sent to xAI's Grok model, which writes the analysis. We don't save your links, titles or results: the page shows the analysis and nothing keeps it. When an analysis fails, our server log may record the video's ID so we can find out why.

xAI processes that text under its own terms and privacy policy. Don't paste anything private into the analyzer: it is built for public videos.

Your IP address

To stop the service being overloaded, the server counts recent analyses per IP address (per account for Pro subscribers). These counts are held in memory for at most a few hours and are never written to disk. Our host, Railway, may keep standard request logs.

Accounts

If you create an account, your email address and password are handled by Supabase, our account provider. Passwords are stored by Supabase in hashed form; we never see them. If you continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with our account provider. We use your email only to run your account: confirmation, password resets and messages about your subscription.

Signing in sets two cookies that keep you logged in. They are strictly necessary, can't be read by scripts on the page, and are removed when you sign out. Asking for an email link (to confirm an account, reset a password or change an email), or signing in with Google, also sets a short-lived cookie that lets the link or the sign-in finish in the same browser; it holds no readable email address and is gone within a day. Other visitors get no cookies at all.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are paid through Stripe, on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach our server. We keep a record of your plan, its billing period and your Stripe customer reference with your account, so we know which features to give you.

Fonts

The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers when a page opens.

Your choices

  • You can use the analyzer without an account.
  • You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account page.
  • You can ask us to show you, or delete, the data we hold about your account.
